Neema
Neema is a qualified primary school teacher from Manchester.
He has lived and worked in the UK - as well as overseas in Asia and Australia - in a wide variety of different school settings. He has experience with children of all ages, social backgrounds, and special educational needs.
Neema has been boxing since he was 10, so has 25 years experience in the ring. He has fought competitively in the UK, Vietnam and Thailand. His understanding of education, coupled with his boxing experience, helped him recognise what a useful tool boxing could be to help emotional regulation in schools.
Rio
Rio is a qualified primary school teacher, working in schools across Manchester over a period of 12 years. He was Deputy Head Teacher for 5 years with experience in the most recent school as a Designated Safeguarding Lead, PE Lead and Curriculum Lead as well as Year 6 Teacher.
Over the last two years, Rio has worked in specialised education, delivering CPD and statutory training in areas such as Autism, Safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice.
An avid boxing enthusiast, Rio saw huge benefits in using the sport as a positive tool to meet the wide ranging needs of children in a fun and engaging way
